Day 1 - Depart Heathrow

Fly from Heathrow Airport to Arusha.


Day 2 - Arrive in Arusha

Arrive in Arusha

Transfer from the airport to a forest lodge in Arusha where you will spend the first night of your Tanzania safari.


Day 3 - Tarangire and Manyara National Parks

Tarangire and Manyara National Parks

In the morning, visit the town of Arusha before setting off on the first great adventure of your Tanzania safari. Enjoy lunch at Tarangire National Park then in the afternoon, head off on a wildlife safari between the baobab trees and watch elephants in their natural habitat.


Day 4 - Manyara National Park

Get an early start this morning on the Tanzania safari as you set out for the Manyara National Park. The park is famous for its abundant birdlife and visitors have often witnessed over 100 different species, more than 400 actually populate the area. Flamingos, leopards, blue-monkeys and giraffes all inhabit the park and there is even a hippo pond where you can watch these enormous creatures in action on a Tanzania safari. Make sure you look out for the tree climbing lions. In the afternoon, we take a lunch break before returning for another game drive.


Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park

Your guide on the Tanzania safari will drive you to the top of the Ngorongoro Crater today where you will have awe-inspiring views of the Tanzania Wildlife Sanctuary. Explore the crater floor of this immense conservation area and learn about its wildlife, geography and history on the Tanzania safari. There are wildebeest, gazelles, buffalo and zebra that populate the crater and the region is also known for having the densest number of lions. After lunch we go on a game drive towards Serengeti National Park.


Day 6 - Serengeti National Park

Today on the Tanzania safari you will witness the sheer magnificence of Serengeti National Park as we spend the entire day driving and walking among this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuary and is more commonly known for its vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. In the evening of the Tanzania safari we take you on one of the most memorable adventures of your life, a night game drive.


Day 7 - Serengeti National Park to Manyara

Serengeti National Park to Manyara

We revisit the Serengeti National Park this morning on the Tanzania safari, followed by a drive through the Ngoronogro Conservation Area. En route to Manyara we explore the archaeological Olduvai Gorge, which is one of the most significant ancient sites in the world, and you can learn about its history in the museum.


Day 8 - Mto-wa-Mbu

Mto-wa-Mbu

On the final day of the Tanzani safari, discover the exciting traditions of the cultural village of Mto-wa-Mbu, meaning ‘Mosquito River’, before we head back to Arusha where the tour concludes. Return to the airport for your flight home.
