A 9 day spectacular adventure holiday to Botswana which includes Khawai River Lodge / Savute Elephant Camp and Eagles Island. This safari will take you through some of Botswana’s vast locations to see some of the greatest game viewing in Africa. You will be transferred between each camp via light aircraft and stay in a luxury chalet style tent with en suit facilities on a full board basis with the park fees and local drinks included. Game viewing in a helicopter, open 4x4 and on foot. This will be an experience you will never forget.
Days 1 to 4 -
The Journey Begins

An over night flight from the UK to Maun Airport in Botswana and then a short 30 minute transfer from Maun to Khwai airstrip.
Your adventure starts with a two night stay at Khwai River Lodge in a luxury tent style chalet with en suite facilities on a full board basis, including local brand drinks, scheduled game viewing activities, park fees and laundry.
Khwai River Lodge has a great location overlooking the vast Khwai floodplains which attracts a variety of game including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. Birdlife can also be viewed in abundance with exceptional sightings of wildfowl and raptors near the lodge. Morning and afternoon game drives are conducted both inside and outside Moremi Game Reserve. Night game drives, which will reveal a variety of nocturnal creatures, and a star gazing presentation is conducted after dinner. Guided walks are offered and for guests wanting to relax there is a hide overlooking the floodplain and in-tent aromatherapy spa massages. On day four you will have a approximate 20 minute transfer by light aircraft from Khwai to Savute Airstrip

Days 4 to 6 -
The Savute Elephant Camp
|
The next 2 nights are spent at Savute Elephant Camp in a twin tent style luxury chalet with en suite facilities on a full board basis, including local brand drinks, scheduled game viewing activities, park fees and laundry.
Morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles take place on the now dry Savute Marsh, which is home to the zebra migration during the months of February and October. Excursions can be arranged to see the historic San rock paintings in the Gubatsa Hills. The waterhole in front of the camp attracts a variety of wildlife which means guests may experience excellent game viewing from the comfort of their deck or the swimming pool.
Transfer by light aircraft on day six from Savute airstrip to Xaxaba airstrip. Flying time approx 45 minutes

Days 7 to 9 -
The Eagle Island Camp
|
Two overnights at Eagle Island Camp in a luxury chalet style tent with en suite facilities on a full board basis, including local brand drinks, scheduled game viewing activities, 45 minute scenic helicopter excursion, park fees and laundry.
With a stunning setting overlooking a lagoon Eagle Island offers fantastic birding opportunities. Bird and game viewing is done either from motorized boats or by mokoro which are poled effortlessly and quietly through the clear waters of the Okavango. Guided game and bird walks take place on surrounding islands. Evenings may be spent enjoying a sundowner cruise or watching a magnificent Delta sunset from the romantic Fish Eagle bar. During the months of December - March, when water levels are low game viewing is conducted by 4x4 vehicles or on foot. Optional scenic flights by helicopter may be arranged at extra cost.
Transfer by light aircraft from Xaxaba airstrip to Maun Airport on day 8 Flying time approx 20 minutes for your over night flight back home.
