Botswana: Botswana Mobile Safari

Outbound flight from Heathrow.

Spend the night in a specially selected hotel in the city. The Botswana mobile safari begins early the following morning.

An early morning departure from the city takes you across some of Africa’s stunning landscapes into Botswana. Arriving at Tuli Block, we set up camp close to the Limpopo River. Tonight on the Botswana mobile safari there may be time for a driving tour of the local area.

A morning game drive through Tuli Block lets you witness the sheer beauty of the area. Fascinating topography, an abundance of birdlife and incredible animals are waiting to be discovered. Hyenas are common in this area and you may even be lucky enough to spot a leopard. Later the Botswana mobile safari arrives at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary where we go in search of white rhinos.

Setting off early in the morning we drive to the Makgadikgadi Pans, one of the largest salt flats in the world. After taking a closer look at the area, the Botswana mobile safari continues. Arriving at Planet Baobab later in the afternoon, we settle into our authentic African accommodation and relax as we enjoy dinner beneath spectacular African skies.

This morning the Botswana mobile safari takes you through more incredible scenery towards Maun, one of the largest towns in the country. The day is free to spend at leisure. Perhaps explore the town and browse the shops, unwind at your lodge by the pool, or book an aeroplane flight over the breathtaking Okavango Delta (additional cost).

If you enjoyed an aerial view of the Okavango Delta yesterday, today you will get to see it in a completely different way. Paddling along the vegetated waterways in mokoros (canoes) you will discover a wealth of wildlife. Later the Botswana mobile safari continues to our camp at the Khwai River area where we go on an exciting night game drive.

Today you will have the chance to discover this incredible area in daylight. In open-top 4x4 vehicles we journey across the plains of the reserve in search of native wildlife like lions, hippos, elephants and other big game animals. Tonight on the Botswana mobile safari we spend the night at a traditional Bedouin camp.

We discover one of the most diverse reserves in Africa today, the Moremi Game Reserve. Absorb its beauty as we travel around for a full day searching for more incredible wildlife. We spend another night of the Botswana mobile safari at the Khwai Bedouin Camp.

Departing from Khwai River in the morning, enjoy a spectacular drive through the Moremi, Savuti, Chobe and Kasane reserves and keep your eyes peeled for sightings of native animals. Arriving at our accommodation late in the afternoon, spend this evening of your Botswana mobile safari relaxing and hopefully we will witness the fiery red sunset that casts a magnificent light across the landscape.

This morning we go on a game drive around the Chobe National Park in search of Africa’s big five: the lion, leopard, African elephant, black rhinoceros and cape buffalo. You might also see zebras, wildebeests, impalas, hyenas and even cheetahs today on the Botswana mobile safari. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a river cruise down the Chobe River and enjoy the tranquility as the sun sets.

Leaving Botswana behind, your journey continues into Zimbabwe. In the afternoon we arrive at the legendary Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world, where you have free time to explore the area. Flights above the magnificent falls are available to book for an additional cost. Tonight on the Botswana mobile safari we stay at Lokuthula Lodges or similar.

Spend an extra day at Victoria Falls and enjoy a guided walking tour of the area. The afternoon is free for you to spend at leisure.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
